PODUJATIE PLATFORMA LÍDROV STREDU

Srdečne pozývame na podujatie Platforma lídrov stredu  3. decembra 2025,  o 12:00 na Radnici v Banskej Bystrici.

Podujatie, ktoré organizuje Mesto Banská Bystrica & Dialogue Centre n.o., v spolupráci s Inside Polarisation (Holandsko).

Podujatie Platforma lídrov stredu:

  • odprezentuje výsledky projektu Agenti koexistencie (Agents of Coexistence), v rámci programu URBACT IV,
  • vytvorí priestor pre diskusiu o líderstve stredu – líderstve, ktoré spája namiesto rozdeľovania,
  • zároveň otvorí priestor pre prvé kroky Platformy lídrov stredu.

Slovensko – podobne ako mnohé iné krajiny – čelí narastajúcej polarizácii vo verejnom priestore, politike aj každodennom živote. Táto situácia oslabuje demokratické inštitúcie a spoločenskú súdržnosť, bez ktorých demokracia nemôže fungovať. Oslabuje tiež možnosti kvalitného riadenia vecí verejných, postaveného na spolupráci a participácii. 

Ako reakciu na tento trend Mesto Banská Bystrica spolu s Dialogue Centre n.o. a s podporou projektu  Agenti koexistencie (program URBACT IV),  realizovali sériu workshopov Ako strategicky pracovať s polarizáciou. Zapojili sa do nich vedenie mesta, zamestnanci samosprávy, občiansky sektor, neskôr aj zástupcovia štátnych inštitúcií a diplomacie. 

Nadchádzajúce podujatie predstaví výsledky práve projektu Agenti koexistencie, ktorý posilňuje participatívnu demokraciu a otvára tému líderstva stredu – odvahy zostať uprostred v čase polarizácie.

Líderstvo stredu nie je jednoduché – je krehké, no zároveň nevyhnutné pre zdravé a súdržné spoločenstvá. Aj preto sa z projektu Agenti koexistencie rodí nová fáza: Platforma lídrov stredu, ktorú chceme spolu s vami začať tvoriť. Platforma má byť priestorom pre rozvoj a posilňovanie komunity ľudí z rôznych prostredí – samospráv, akademickej obce, diplomacie a občianskeho sektora, ktorí veria v líderstvo, ktoré spája, hľadá porozumenie a buduje dôveru.

Súčasťou programu bude aj panelová diskusia: „Odvaha zostať uprostred – líderstvo v čase polarizácie“. S potešením predstavujeme potvrdených diskutujúcich krátkymi medailónmi:

EVENT: PLATFORM OF THE LEADERS OF THE MIDDLE

You are warmly invited to the Platform of The Leaders of the Middle event, taking place on December 3, 2025, at 12:00, at the Town Hall in Banská Bystrica.

The event is organized by the City of Banská Bystrica and Dialogue Centre n.o., in cooperation with Inside Polarisation (Netherlands).

The Platform of The Leaders of the Middle event will:

  • Present the results of the Agents of Coexistence project, implemented within the URBACT IV programme,
  • Create a space for discussion on leadership of the middle – leadership that unites rather than divides,
  • Open the way for the first steps of the Platform of the Leaders of the Middle.

Like many other countries, Slovakia faces growing polarization in public life, politics, and everyday interactions. This situation weakens democratic institutions and social cohesion — essential foundations for a functioning democracy. It also limits the potential for effective governance based on cooperation and participation.

As a response to this trend, the City of Banská Bystrica, together with Dialogue Centre n.o. and with the support of the Agents of Coexistence project (URBACT IV programme), organized a series of workshops titled How to Work Strategically with Polarisation. Participants included city leadership, municipal employees, representatives of the civic sector, and later also members of state institutions and diplomacy.

The upcoming event will present the results of the Agents of Coexistence project, which strengthens participatory democracy and opens the topic of centre leadership – the courage to stay in the middle in times of polarization.

Centre leadership is not easy – it is fragile, yet essential for healthy and cohesive communities.
From the Agents of Coexistence project, a new phase is emerging: the Platform of the Leaders of the Middle, which we would like to start building together with you.

The Platform aims to become a space for developing and strengthening a community of people from various backgrounds – local government, academia, diplomacy, and the civic sector – who believe in leadership that connects, seeks understanding, and builds trust.
